Kalama Sutta

Kalama Sutta

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe simply because it has been handed down for many generations. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is written in Holy Scriptures. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of Teachers, elders or wise men.
Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all. Then accept it and live up to it."

Step Up!

 One step...can change your world

Plot summary:
"The Mob sets the dancing against the vibrant backdrop of Miami. Emily arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer and soon falls in love with Sean, a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called "The Mob". When a wealthy business man threatens to develop The Mob's historic neighborhood and displace thousands-of people, Emily must work together with Sean and The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause. "

This film has been screening in the cinema for quite sometime..and with all the good reviews from friends..I was very much afraid that i would miss the chance of watching it myself as the movie might no longer be screened in the cinema sooner or later..Finally, thank goodness, i was able to watch it with my cousin sis!..since she had not watched the movie yet and that she was equally interested to watch..yea, i mean..finally! Throughout the film, i was totally being caught up by the dance beat...the dancers were so professional..and the main actor and actress were great-looking..the film was even more lovely with the essence of romance :)

This movie reminded me of how much I love about dancing, esp hip-hop & breaking moves...and that it has been a while since i last stepping up the dance floor, which was during the farewell party of EAMSC Malaysia 2 years ago. This was the 1st ever dance I involved in choreographing..The sense of satisfaction when seeing the audience enjoyed the performance, the feeling of accomplishment when gaining affirmation from the audience and friends..after all the sacrifice, pain, and hard work of producing a nice dance. But deeply sad, no one recorded the video for the dance, and that there was no group picture of us the dance crew (group moderators)...Haiz..deeply sad and indeed unfortunate..It was merely left with..memory :(

Other unforgettable dancing experiences were years back:

---30th AMSC in Taiwan (30th July 2009)

---Pesta Ang Pow (18th Jan 2009)

---During matriculation program (Year 2007/2008)

Modern dance
This was a very memorable period during my matriculation. It was so sudden that i made up my mind to join the modern dance crew without hesitation..Reasons being wanna try new stuffs, out of curiosity, and just wanna take up the challenge..so i just go-for-it..my old friends were all astonished *jaw-dropping* seeing me doing hard moves of hip-hop and breaking..as previously others' impression of me was that kind of a girl next door..average, non-adventurous, quiet, shy..Truly it was an unbelievable decision..It was one of the turning points in my life. Thanks to it, i found the passion in dancing..built up the confidence, courage, and charisma in me..Because of it, i met new friends, good friends, and besties!
